Welcome to my world; won't you join me?

Meet Marge
Marge (she/her) describes herself as a lover of movement and languages. She holds a magna cum laude BFA in modern dance performance/choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University, a professional certificate of contemporary circus arts from FLIC Scuola di Circo (Torino, Italy), and an E-RYT 500 YACEP certification through Yoga Alliance. As a result, her movement style marinates at the unique intersection of dance, contemporary circus, & yoga asana and she strives to share her affinity for movement with passion, grace, humor, and an open invitation to explore one’s own artistry.

10/10 Power Petite
Where it all began for me... so why not start here? I found the power yoga practice back in 2014, fresh off of my European circus adventures, and I was desperately seeking a similar community. Upon discovering Dancing Mind Yoga, a power studio a mile away from my Falls Church home, my disciplined practice began! My 200-hr training was through this studio back in 2015, and I've been teaching and riffing on the sequence as my backbone ever since. Come step into YOUR power in this petite 50-min sampler, where you can expect to flow, breathe, and spark some heat.

10/17 Baby Ballet
Are you ready to point and flex those pretty princess toes? Are you eager to leap over lily pads, skip across the floor, try on a couple of twirls? Meant to be wholly unintimidating and only slightly silly, join me for a baby ballet class! My first job at 15 was teaching tiny tots how to plie, releve, chassé, and echappé, and so this class is an homage to complete beginners who want to tippy-toe and flap their wings just like The Sugar Plum Fairy. Together, we will foray into basic ballet vocabulary and class will culminate in sweet group choreography to familiar classical music.
10/24 Handstand Basics
A successful handstand practice requires a deep understanding of the intersection of strength, flexibility, and balance. Your first circus sampler will explore all of these skills and more in this handstand-geared conditioning class. As the name denotes, the majority of the class will be spent undertaking drills, stretches, mobility, and awareness exercises that are massively vital to embody before even attempting your first handstand. Remember, consistency is key, and you might even leave inspired to continue training on your own!
