I have been hungrily stacking trainings and teaching hours since I first began teaching yoga full time 9 years ago. I've kept up with my Yoga Alliance membership, and can confidently say that I am qualified to run not only specialized workshops, but teacher training modules as well as my own independent continuing education programs.

Past modules and programs I have led include:

  • Head trainer in multiple 200-hr Hot Power Yoga YTT's

  • Creation, translation, and lead teacher for an online 200-hr YTT en español

  • Lead teacher in multiple 200-hr Power Yoga YTT's

  • 1:1 Power Intensive Teacher Training

  • Hands On Assisting

  • Sanskrit

  • The Business of Yoga

  • Journey Into Power customized sequencing

  • Rocket sequencing & advanced asana workshops

  • Sun Salutation variations

  • Creative Vinyasa Sequencing

  • Slow Flow Sequencing including meditation + Yoga Nidra

  • Asana Variations (simplifications + amplifications)

  • Asana history & mythology

  • Subtle Bodies lecture

  • "So You Wanna Teach a Workshop..."

Together In Practice

My main continuing education focus these days is my online program: Together in Practice. Based on my recent Virginia Commonwealth University curriculum I designed and led as an elective yoga course through the School of the Arts in their prestigious modern dance program (my alma mater), lovingly shortened to "the TIP" - we cover the tip of the yoga iceberg:

  • 12 weeks

  • 24 styles of yoga

  • 60 hours of continuing education (live version)

  • 40 hour self paced version

  • 7-10 hour mini bundles available

A dynamic hybrid program of on-demand content as well as live Zoom sessions, each of the 24 styles of yoga are broken down, presented, practiced, and discussed in 4 parts:

  • The Doc - a .pdf with history & resources

  • The Video - an unlisted Youtube video in which I teach/demo

  • The Reflection - a Google Form homework assignment

  • The TIParty - a group or 1:1 Zoom session to discuss & share

Virginia Commonwealth University

In addition to providing continuing education to registered yoga teachers, I am deeply honored to have taught for higher education, having been invited on as an Adjunct Professor at my alma mater: Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts, creating and delivering two sections of a dynamic elective yoga course through the prestigious dance and choreography program in 2023.

The coursework objective was to throw all the proverbial yoga spaghetti on the wall and see what stuck. That being the case, I led as many diverse yoga styles I felt confident in leading, providing a different style and practice experience every single class. Each practice always concluded with a guided personal journaling and group sharing session.

My VCU curriculum then went on to inspire my current Together In Practice program, where you too can explore not just 24 styles of yoga, but also your personal and artistic connection to your practice by way of reflection, journal prompts, odes, haikus, and discussion with your community and peers.

FLIC Scuola di Circo

In early 2025, I was invited to lead a 2-week yoga residency at my other alma mater: FLIC Scuola di Circo in Torino, Italy for their current circus students in training - 4 groups totaling over 60 students. An actual dream come true!!

My overall objective was to impart the importance of focus, concentration, non-harm, listening to self, corporal potential, & creativity through structure.

Leading and delivering over 25 hours of yoga (in ITALIAN, no less...!), we explored a Hatha-rooted practice, pranayama, mantras, mudras, chakras, meridians, acupressure, the 5 Ayurvedic elements, philosophy & discussion of Patanjali's 8 limbs of yoga, Ashtanga, Power, Rocket, advanced asana amplifications, self-touch and group massage, meditation, and creative sequencing. Catering to the students, we used theatre, circus, and acrobatic tools to enhance and explore the practice. Students were encouraged to customize, choreograph, and infuse their practice with their own unique artistry. We concluded with a group project: groups of 5 were asked to call upon everything they had learned in the past two weeks to create, deliver, and teach their own collaborative yoga sequence to all the other students.

I have already been asked to return, and hopefully this will turn into an ongoing relationship of annual residency.

Whether you are new to teaching, need a refresher, or just want to add a bit of playfulness to the practice... offerings with Marge are without a doubt the route to go. She is intentional, wise, motivational, and most of all MAGICAL. I promise you won't regret a chance to learn from her.
